The Gentle Shepherd // Brad Carr

October 02, 2022 - Brad Carr

Our message this week comes from Brad Carr. He is a leader in the Living Stones network and on the teaching team at Gracecity Church in Auckland.

Today Brad is exploring possibly the most famous psalm in the Bible, unpacking two powerful metaphors about what Yahweh is really like. He is a gentle shepherd who guides and leads us, and He is a gracious host who welcomes us into the family. He is, therefore, a God worthy of our deepest trust.

This Life Is Not The End // Reuben Munn

September 04, 2022 - Reuben Munn

Our message this week comes from Reuben Munn. He's a pastor from Shore Community Church, one of our partner churches in the Living Stones Network.

In the face of the fear and anxiety that is becoming more and more prevalent, Reuben brings us a message of encouragement from the book of Philippians. A message originally from Paul in prison awaiting possible execution in Rome. We follow nicely from teaching about the persecuted church and placing our trust in God as we have been encouraged to do in Habakkuk the last few weeks.

Open Doors: The Cost // Mike Burrows

July 10, 2022 - Mike Burrows

We hear from Mike Burrows from Open Doors, who advocate for the persecuted church across the world. For the last few weeks, we've been studying a 1st-century persecuted church - the Thessalonians. In that letter, Paul reminds them that Christians are destined for persecution. With this in mind, we thought it would be a good time to hear what this looks like in a modern context.
