An informal weekly women’s breakfast, meeting at Swimsuit Coffee on Park Road. Contact hannah.silvester@thestreet.org.nz for more info.
Wednesday 27 November - Guys’ Breakfast 7-8am
An informal weekly men’s breakfast to hang out and connect. This is held either at Maranui or L'affare in town, depending on where people need to be for work. It is organised on a WhatsApp chat so if you are interested talk to Dan SIlvester to be added or email east@thestreet.org.nz
Wednesday 27 November - Community Dinner - 5.30pm
Every Wednesday, at Strathmore Community Centre, we run a free dinner for our local community as a way of being a blessing to the people of these suburbs- anyone is welcome. (If you’d like to help with this, even if it’s just occasionally, please get in touch - jenny.gill@thestreet.org.nz)

Sunday 8 December - 12:30pm - Youth (Year 9-13)
Each month, the youth at The Street East meet after church on a Sunday for some kai and some fun. Any youth Years 9 to 13 are welcome to join us! Our venue and activities vary - please contact Timothy Teng at timothytwe@gmail.com for details. Our upcoming and final session of 2024 is on Sunday 8 December 12.30pm for an end of year celebration lunch and some fun! This will be after the church Christmas Service.

BIBLE TEACHING: Christmas Story
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
At the conclusion of this lesson, children will:
Know that the birth of Jesus was planned long before it happened. We can know this from prophecies that have been answered.
Hear the Christmas story
Understand that it is Jesus’ birth and God’s plan that we celebrate.
Pre-School
MAIN POINT: Christmas is when we celebrate Jesus being born.
BIBLE STORY: An Angel Visits Mary
LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the conclusion of this lesson, children will:
Hear that Christmas is when Jesus was born.
Know that he came because he loves us.
Understand Jesus came unexpectedly, but that doesn’t take away from who he is.
Life Groups
Life Groups really are the heart of our church. They are small groups of people who can encourage one another as we all seek to follow Jesus together. They are spaces where you have the opportunity to get to know people on a deeper level than will ever be possible at a Sunday service. They are places where you can dig into the Bible together and pray for one another. If you are not in a Life Group and you’d like to be, please get in touch and we would love to help you find one.

Baptism
Jesus clearly instructed us that when we repent and choose to follow him, baptism is the first step in that new life of following him. If you haven’t been baptised and would like to be, please get in touch and we’d love to talk to you about it. Email east@thestreet.org.nz or talk to your life group leader or Simon and Jenny.
Giving
Giving financially to your local church is a Biblical principle that is key to training each of our hearts in generosity and is a declaration that money is not our master. The money you give here is used to lead and operate this location of The Street, but also more widely to support The Street as it seeks to reach Wellington with the gospel. It also helps support several national ministries and international missions.
